Market News That Matters

Jaguar Sales Collapse: 97% Drop Followed by 500 UK Job Cuts

Jaguar has reported a staggering 97% collapse in sales across Europe, followed by plans to cut 500 jobs in the UK. The company blamed tariffs and called the layoffs “normal business restructuring.”

But the timeline tells a different story.

Jaguar halted production of several gas-powered models and moved forward with a complete electric rebrand, shifting resources away from its UK roots. The company has increasingly moved manufacturing overseas while aligning with ESG pressures and green mandates.

The result? Empty dealerships, falling customer trust, and now, mass layoffs at home.

Cracker Barrel Accused of Discriminating Against White, Male Employees

America First Legal just filed complaints against Cracker Barrel, accusing the company of running race- and sex-based hiring programs under the label of “DEI.”

The filings point to:

  • Leadership pipelines for “diverse” employees only

  • Internal groups giving perks based on identity

  • Public reports labeling board members as “Diverse” or “Not-Diverse”

Cracker Barrel rebranded its DEI website to “Culture and Belonging” - but the policies didn’t change.

This isn’t an isolated event. It’s a pattern we’re seeing across industries: legacy brands chasing political trends, ignoring loyal customers and workers, then blaming everything but themselves when it all falls apart.

The corporate world is on a collision course - not just with the economy, but with common sense.

Jaguar’s collapse isn’t just about EVs or tariffs. It’s about priorities. A company walked away from what it did well, bet everything on green mandates and global trends, and left its workers behind. That’s not innovation. That’s negligence.

Cracker Barrel’s story is no different. Rebranding race-based hiring as “belonging” doesn’t make it right. When you tell some people they’re more welcome than others, you’re not building a workplace: you’re building resentment.

We’ve seen it again and again. The more companies chase ESG scores, DEI quotas, and international applause, the more they lose touch with the people right in front of them: workers, families, and longtime customers.

It’s not complicated. Businesses should serve their country, treat employees fairly, and focus on doing the job right.

Support the brands that don’t abandon their workers or their values.

That’s why One Bison exists. We don’t reward betrayal. We stand with the businesses that still know what matters: faith, family, freedom, and a hard day’s work done with pride.
