One Bison Monthly — April 2026

Building One Bison costs a lot, in both time and money. Most days that's fine. Some days it's not. What makes it worth it is seeing new companies join, new people sign up, new partners commit. So before anything else this month, thank you to all of you.

Short one this month. A couple of stories worth reading, and some new businesses worth checking out.

News That Matters

"Made in America" Labels, Owned Out of Hong Kong

It was reported this month that at least eight new vape brands on US shelves are leaning hard on American branding, with flags on the packaging, "built in the USA" stamps, and slogans like "Vape American." But the trademark filings tell a different story. OneTank is controlled by a rep of Shenzhen Onevape Technology. MAXUS is owned in the US by a Hong Kong-based firm linked to a Chinese vape maker. None of the eight have authorization to be sold here.

This is literally why we exist. We wish we didn't have to. We'd rather the market was just geared favorably towards patriotic businesses, but that's not our reality. So we do the work on every company that lists with us. We review their website, their social media, their customer reviews. We might get it wrong sometimes, but we're aiming for the best information available. Made in the USA has to actually mean made in the USA. Veteran-owned has to actually mean veteran-owned.

A Tax Cut That Reaches Main Street

Cost of living has exploded with the war in Iran. Anything to help American families is needed.

Treasury data shows nearly 12 million small business owners are seeing an average tax reduction of about $7,000 under the Working Families Tax Cuts Act. The 20% Small Business Deduction is now permanent and expanded to 23%, projected to generate $750 billion in growth and over a million new Main Street jobs. Refunds are up nearly 11% this year and nearly 20 million workers are keeping more of their overtime pay.

Real money back in American pockets when it's needed most.

What's New on One Bison

A few new businesses to highlight that joined the platform this month, alongside many others we've reviewed and added.

Frances Farm & Craft

A family-run operation making handcrafted goods straight from their land. Because families who still make things with their own hands deserve your support.

American-made | Family-owned | Small business

4Patriots

Emergency preparedness gear, survival food, and solar generators. Started in a Nashville kitchen in 2008 with one product and a belief that more Americans wanted to be ready for the unexpected.

American-made | Family-owned

Blackout Coffee Co.

Veteran-founded, Florida-based small-batch roaster started by a Portuguese immigrant who got fed up with big coffee brands and began roasting in his garage. Because a guy who left one country to build something in this one, then turned it into a coffee company for patriots, is exactly the kind of American story worth backing.
